Si Wu Tang first appeared in Lin Taoren’s “Secret Recipe of Treatment of Injure and bone fracture” of the Tang Dynasty and was later included in China’s first national pharmacopoeia “Tai Ping Formulas of welfare dispensary” in the Song Dynasty.
