Himplasia is an Ayurvedic herbal remedy for maintaining a healthy prostrate, optimum urogenital function and optimum bladder function of men. It is a non-hormonal formulation and does not have side effects like its counterparts. Himplasia Tablets by Himalaya are useful in management of benign prostate enlargement,with reduction in prostate weight.
It gives relief in frequent urination, decreases prostate gland size and improves urine flow rate while reducing post-void residual urine. Himplasia also inhibits prostatic stromal proliferation.
Key ingredients:
Small Caltrops (Gokshura) is useful in treating BPH, genitourinary infections, painful urination, hematuria and dysuria.
Cutch Tree (Puga) is chiefly responsible for inhibiting the 5α-reductase enzyme. This action blocks the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, the major sex hormone in prostatic cells responsible for BPH.
Three-leaved Caper (Varuna) relieves post-prostatectomy atony of bladder and improves overall bladder tone. It exhibits strong anti-inflammatory action that soothes BPH-induced pain.
Dosage:
1 tablet 2 x a day
Side effects:
Himplasia is not known to have any side effects if taken as per the prescribed dosage.
Precautions:
Assessment and response to treatment should be individualized with appropriate urodynamic monitoring. Use with caution in uncontrolled hypertension.
