- Herbatint permanent hair dye is free of ammonia, resorcinol and parabens. We believe it is the safest option that currently exists on the market for those who do not wish to use henna-based dye. It contains propylene glycol which is on our list of ingredients to avoid, and some other ingredients (like Ethanolamine) that we would not usually allow. We think grey is beautiful, but if you are going to buy dye, and don’t want to use a henna product, this is the next safest option. This decision took us 2 years to make, and was swayed by the large amount of customer requests to stock this product.
